Meet Danny Painter, RPh one of Hawthorne's Pharmacists.

Where did you go to school?
Graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1989.

How long have you been with Hawthorne?
Started part-time in 1986 and went full time in 1989.

What made you want to go into pharmacy?
I worked at a local independent pharmacy in high school where I grew up and decided I enjoyed pharmacy.

Why did you choose Hawthorne Pharmacy?
I knew I wanted to work in a locally owned independent pharmacy and I was lucky enough to find Hawthorne when I was in college. 

What do you enjoy most about your work?
Creating relationships with the customers. 

What do you enjoy most about working in the community you're in?
Carrying these relationships back to my local community. Seeing customers outside of the pharmacy and speaking to each other by name. Makes it feel local.

Any hobbies? Fun facts?
I enjoy traveling, sailing, gardening, and reading.  My first job at Hawthorne was delivering Medical Equipment.
